They say it's bad to nag but what do they know anyways. We know Christmas is right around the corner and we all want something under the Christmas tree. If only there was such thing as a money tree I would get what ever I want. I love going on Net-A-Porter and looking at their pretty clothes and accessories. Many things on their site I WANTTTTTTTTT. The pics above are things I believe would make an absolutely stunning addition to my closet.

My Loves

These drawings have definitely made their way around blogspot and tumblr. But I had to put them up not only are they the hautest of the hautest but the drawings themselves are beautiful and humorous at the same time. Take the Louboutins for instance they are definitely skyscraper like heels, that might even break you ankle :)

VALUE VILLAGE 50% SALE

I'm so sorry my lovelies, but this post should of been up the day after I attended the 50% off sale at Value. I waited for this day for a long time. I decided to go really early before my first class started that day. Surprisingly it wasn't that overwhelming I knew where I wanted to go, straight to the bag section and then the knits. I managed to get two cross shoulderbags one tan faux alligator one and then one navy gold embellished one that can be worn as a clutch. I spent minutes staring at the bag and deliberating and decided that I didn't really like it as a cross body. Then I got a red wool blazer with silver embellishment, I really liked the blazer because the colour stood out and the structure of the blazer is different. Then I got two sweaters; one reminded my of Chrsitmas it was silver and black and the second was a chunky brown, blue, green wool sweater. I know what you're thinking brown, blue, green wool sweater?? But from far away the sweater looks brown but when you come closer to it thats when you can actually see the other colours. I'm in love with the sweater, but it is really really itchy. Wool in general is itchy unless the clothing has a lining. I guess I'm just going to have to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath.

SCHOOL OFFICIALLY SUCKS

As I write this post I'm drowning in textbooks and assignments.
I have two tests on the same day and two assignments due
the next day. I thought that after midterms were over I
would get a break but I was wrong. I got only two mins to
collect myself before i was bombarded with more work. The thing
I miss the most is SHOPPING. I told myself when midterms
are over I'm gonna buy knit sweaters, knit leggings and buy
myself some combat boots...but no that did not end up happening.
Instead I found my nose in a Criminal Justice textbook. Anywho
during my time of HIBERNATION I stumbled across
a site called http://makemechic.com/. I'm not really feeling their
apparel but I really like some of their boots. Not only are the boots
nice their cheap too. I'll post my favourites from the site as
a seperate post.

YOUTUBE SPOTLIGHT

I absolutely love this channel on youtube. The youtube channel is called clothesencounters. These two ladies put together wonderful outfits from thrift stores, the buffalo exchange, urban outffiters and american apparel. And the pieces they manage to put together are pieces I wish I had in my wardrobe. The vid above is basically their take on fall trends.

THRIFTING HAUL #1

Yesterday afternoon I was bored out of my mind, so I decided to go thrifting. I'll admit I've never gone thrifting before because when I thought of thrift I thought about second- hand. This shopping trip came to mind when I saw thrifting hauls on youtube. Let me tell you one thing people the first time you walk into a thrift store, you will feel really overwhelmed both by smell and all the clothing and things you see around you. But you need to take a deep breath and relax. Once you do that the experience is really amazing and fun. I came across a tanish shoulder bag that I fell in love with, I think its mainly because of the gold clasp. I then went to the jewelry side of the store where I found vintage-esk earrings. If you do end up buying earrings from a thrift or vintage store remember that you need to disinfect it, and the best way to do that is to clean it with rubbing alcohol.......soap and water will not do the trick.
I really enjoyed my shopping trip to the thrift store and I see another thrifting haul in the near future.
p.s. had to use my webcam to take the pics, my camera broke.

Midterm Blues...

I am very proud of myself because I was able to have a new post
every other day. I really don't want that to stop but as
midterms approach I'm pretty sure that will all change.
So now during the following week, there will be a new post
every two days or three days. Yes I know its sad, but im really
hoping I do well on my midterms and I'm pretty sure
you guys want me to do well too. But who knows
maybe when I take a break from studying I might put
up two posts in one day.

LANVIN FOR H&M
Although shoppers will have to wait till November 23rd to get their
hands on the highly anticipated Lanvin for H&M collection,
H&M was nice enough to release an ad featuring four looks for the line.

And they all lived happily ever after.

I was on youtube today and came across a clip from Aladdin. And then it crossed my mind...why not have a disney classic night. Disney has had a major influence in my upbringing..it didn't raise me or anything, but it was a major part of my childhood. I remember being four or five and watching Cinderella everyday. It kind of wore my mother out, but I wanted to be like Cinderella: become a princess and marry a prince.(Sigh) that still hasn't happened but who knows what's in my future.

FASHION WEEK SS'11: JEREMY SCOTT

Alexander McQueen Spring 2011 RTW

This collection was absolutely beautiful. It reminded me of a whimsical garden. It was more mother nature meets fairytale. Everything from the delicate fabric to the detail that went into each piece made this collection stunning. Sarah Burton McQueen's assistant for fourteen years did an amazing job. She made a collection that embodied McQueen as a person and a designer.

CITY GIRL WITH CITY BAG

honestly im sick of the people who say you can't dress up a frilly feminine dress with a huge bag. There's no rule that says "thou shall not wear dress with huge bag". To me its honestly whatever looks good. If the ensemble is on point then who cares how big the bag is. It needs to all come together. Which basically means UNITY. Sure dress it up with a clutch but you can dress it up with a HUGE CITY BAG.

BONJOUR

Welcome to my new blog people. For some reason I wasn't really feeling my old blog. As I get older my style changes and the music I listen to changes as well. So it's more of a new beginning. On my blog you'll find everything from fashion, music, photography and me everyday. So sometimes I might blog about my day and things I found interesting or things I bought that day (I know interesting) I promise you I will not bore you :)
So stay tuned.
